Eesha Koppikhar is becoming quite a superwoman of sorts. The actress, who had taken a short break from work post her marriage with restaurateur Rohit Narang, is now neck-deep in work. Apart from shooting non-stop for her dance based reality show and going through some very interesting scripts, Eesha has now decided to don the producer's hat.
The actress has already begun work on the sequel of Shabri with director Lalit Marathe. The move was a result of Shabri being stuck in production hassles for four years before it saw the light of the day. Eesha believes Shabri was the most challenging film of her career and had the film been released on time and promoted better, it would've been a trend-setter. But in the four years many gangster movies released and Shabri became just another film. Eesha now plans to focus completely on the film's sequel, scripting of which has already begun.
Says Eesha, "The film should go on floors some where around April 2012 because till then, I'll be busy with a few shows and even Lalit needs time to work on the script since it has a lot of potential."
In Shabri, Eesha played the role of a woman who runs a crime racket from a Mumbai chawl. She sported a non-glamorized look in the film and even spoke foul language.October 12, 2011 in Bollywood News

Suddenly after Force, John Abraham is a star much in-demand, specifically as an action hero. In the North Indian belt where Sunny Paaji's fist rules
supreme, John seems to have made a huge impact as the Blast Action Hero. So much so that filmmakers who are working with him are actually thinking of adding
action sequences with him.
And the project that would feel the most immediate impact of John's furious fist is Housefull 2. A comic romp with all the actors from Rishi Kapoor to
Akshay Kumar to Riteish Deshmukh hell bent on a having a comic blast, Housefull 2 we hear will now have an extra 'item' by John Abraham...an elaborate
fight sequence!
Says a source, "John is suddenly the new item boy. But the item that audiences in the single-screen sectors of North India want from him has to do with the
hands not feet. North Indian distributors are looking at John's motorcycle-lifting fight-sequence as the equivalent of Sunny Deol's hand pump-wrenching
sequence in Gadar."
Sajid Nadiadwala's regular distributors from the North have asked him to put an action sequence with John in Housefull 2. Not only that, they've asked
him specifically for the shot of John lifting a motorcycle.
Nadiadwala is apparently planning to shoot an elaborate stunt sequence with John for Housefull 2.
When contacted Nadiadwala said, "When I saw the calibre of action by John in Force, I was blown away. He is a true action hero. And yes, we are
planning some action with him."
John Abraham seems delighted with the extra attention he is getting. "What is being planned for me in Housefull 2 is between the two Sajids (producer
Nadiadwala and director Khan). All I can say is, I am very flattered."October 12, 2011 in Bollywood News

It has been almost a year since Sanjay Leela Bhansali's last film Guzaarish hit the screens. However, ever since then Bhansali seems to have taken to production in a big way with no news yet about next film as a director. Prod him about the so-called 'delay' and one is bound to get an amused stare from the maverick filmmaker.
"Everyone seems to be worried more than Sanjay himself about why his next film has not yet gone on floors. They are forgetting that he has always worked at his own pace and never made films in hurry", says a close associate of the filmmaker, "Ever since he turned full fledged director a decade and a half back, he has made only six films. That makes it one film every two and a half years. Wonder why there have been so many speculations."
Guess these speculations pretty much stem from the fact that as a producer he has as many as three films lined up in quick succession. There is My Friend Pinto which releases this Friday, Rowdy Rathore which is over 50% complete and arrives next summer and Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi which goes on floors this December. With so much already in the pipeline, one wonders whether Sanjay isn't itching to get behind the camera all over again and call the shots.
"Well, definitely yes, there is a strong urge to direct again", comes a quick response from Sanjay, "In fact the script is currently being written and I have things lined up. Come May and I should be starting shoot for my next film as a director."
As for the delay, Sanjay presents his case with straight forward statistics.
"After every film of mine, I typically take a break of around a year and a half before starting my next. Khamoshi (1996), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Devdas (2002), Black (2005), Saawariya (2008) and Guzaarish (2010) are pretty much a testimony of that", he says, "Now I would be starting my next in mid-2012, so there we are!"
Ask him he would be willing to talk about the film's genre at the least, if not the cast, and he comes with a definite response - 'Certainly not'!
Guess we would have to wait for some other day to hear about that.October 12, 2011 in Bollywood News
