Hollywood news has learned that “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star KRISTEN BELL had a meltdown and broke down crying on her 31st birthday last July… over a sloth!

Seriously!

Kristen apparently has a soft—as in cry hysterically in the fetal position type of soft—spot for sloths. You know, those cute little tree-dwelling animals? Because when her fiancee, Dax Shepard, arranged for her to have one at her birthday party, the actress broke down and started bawling her eyes out in her room… out of sheer excitement and happiness.

And she hadn’t even seen it yet.

Kristen appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week and shared the home video of her crying uncontrollably because of Dax’s super sweet birthday surprise.

It’s kind of a strange reaction, but it’s also adorable… and funny!

JESSICA SIMPSON has much fuller lips now!

So how’d that happen? Did she undergo a lip augmentation procedure or something?

Actually, no, she didn’t. Jessica is just experiencing one of the better side effects of being pregnant… swollen lips! A far better side effect than, say, farting 15 times more than the average person, which Jessica admitted to have experienced during the first few months of her pregnancy.

During the weekend, Jessica woke up to find that she had been gifted with bigger, juicier lips. She tweeted:

“Woke up looking like the lip injection fairy visited me in the night! Is this how pregnancy face begins?! Yikes!”

Oh please. Don’t act like you don’t love it, Jess!

It’s official… CHORD OVERSTREET and EMMA ROBERTS have gone splitsville! Hollywood news has learned that the couple, who has been dating since last April, have called it quits.

Rumors of Chord and Emma’s romance first started cropping up on celebrity gossip websites after the two were spotted cozying up to each other at the Coachella Festival last year.

Though they never officially confirmed the relationship, Chord and Emma were seen out together on a few occasions—they were even photographed during a trip to Disneyland.

After almost a year of dating, however, Chord and Emma have decided to end their romance. A source tells JustJared.com:

“They’re just on two different paths in life… They just grew apart and decided to part ways.”

Chord recently made an appearance at the 2012 SAG Awards, and even attended an after party with his “Glee” co-stars. An eyewitness reports:

“Chord seemed just fine at the after-parties… He capped off the night at the exclusive Chateau Marmont with his co-stars [Dianna Agron, Jenna Ushkowitz (with boyfriend Michael Trevino), Harry Shum, Jr. (with girlfriend Shelby Rabara), and Darren Criss].”

According to the latest entertainment news, PAULA ABDUL and NICOLE SCHERZINGER have just been fired from “X Factor.”

Ouch!

Paula and Nicole, who sat on the “X Factor” judging panel with Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, will no longer be returning to the second season of the show.

Nicole’s departure doesn’t come as a surprise after her judging “mishap” with axed contestant Rachel Crow, for which she received death threats from overzealous Crow fans. Paula, however, is another story… especially since she’s very popular and was personally recruited by “X Factor” creator and executive producer Simon Cowell.

And it wasn’t just the two female judges who found themselves out of a job … “X Factor” host Steve Jones was also fired from the show.

Deadline reports:

“…none of the three left on their own accord… it was cleaning house day at the so-so rated reality series.”

No word yet on who will replace Paula, Nicole or Steve for the second season of “X Factor.”

The reality star has ditched her trademark jet-black locks for a lighter, chestnut brown hue—much like the brown color she wore last year, right before her wedding to Kris Humphries.

Kim posted the photo of her new hair color on her Twitter account, with the caption:

“I dyed my hair lighter yesterday! I’m loving it! New hair color=new beginnings for me. You like?”

MICHELLE WILLIAMS says she’s planning to take a break from acting and just be a mom to her six-year-old daughter, Matilda by late actor, Heath Ledger.

Uh…is this like the time she said she wanted to quit acting just after she finished filming “Blue Valentine” last year? A role that won her an Academy Award nomination and about a dozen other acting award nominations, as well?

Now she’s gotten even more accolades for “My Week With Marilyn,” a Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress, a gazillion more minor acting trophies, and some serious Oscar buzz…and here she goes saying she wants to go away again…

“I just want to go back to being a mom for a while,”

Michelle told E! Entertainment.

Well, for crying out loud…isn’t she a mom already?

We think Michelle may just be running scared after having received all the kudos for her work.  That can freak some people out, you know.

So embrace success, Michelle Williams. Posthumous Oscar-winner Heath Ledger would have wanted you to.

BRANDI GLANVILLE is calling GERARD BUTLER an out and out liar…and all because he denied he ever hooked up with her for a whole week last summer.

And also because the “300″ actor asked, “Who’s Brandi Glanville?”

Ouch. Now the “Real Housewife” of reality TV is calling the A-lister a liar, and went on her Twitter account to blast the hunky thespian for pretending not to know who he tapped so vigorously, she’d rated him an “11″ out of 10.

“He called me last night and told me he said it. He is upset because he is a private person. I don’t lie so I don’t really care.”

Brandi told RumorFix in an exclusive interview.

“I don’t lie. So he can suck it!”

She added further on her Twitter account.

BRUCE WILLIS has taken charge of the kids, and DEMI MOORE has…well, where is Demi? She’s gone missing all of a sudden.

Demi has yet to be seen in public after she checkout out of a hospital in Los Angeles following a “health scare” last week. It’s been alleged the soon-to-be-divorced actress had been smoking Whip It (street name for nitrous oxide) with her daughter, Rumer, no less, when she lapsed into semi-consciousness and started convulsing. Her reps called the subsequent 911 call and hospital stay all due “exhaustion and other health issues,” of course…

And yet…where is Demi?

Her daughters Tallulah and Rumer are now hanging out with their dad, Bruce at his West L.A. Condo where Tallulah‘s moved in for the time being.

Hollywood rumors are buzzing that the 49-year-old actress has just entered a residential rehab facility because her exact whereabouts are uncertain as of press time. She hasn’t even been reported to have returned to her Beverly Hills home following her dramatic hospitalization.

Some sources speculate Demi has gone for some “spiritual counseling” to purge the demons that got her into this mess in the first place.

Wait…is that the same counseling that failed to save her marriage to Ashton Kutcher?

Rooney Mara, fresh off of earning her first Oscar nomination, is a hot commodity and now Steven Soderbergh's snapped her up to work on his next project. Soderbergh, the director who keeps claiming he's retiring only to continue to add more projects to his slate, will also be reuniting with his Haywire and Magic Mike star Channing Tatum for the film. Also cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is Jude Law (who worked with Soderbergh on Contagion), and Catherine Zeta-Jones considered a role in Side Effects.

Colombian recording artist, SHAKIRA just got knighted in France, and received the top prize the the NRJ Music Awards over the weekend.

That makes two gorgeous and sexy Latina celebrities (we sword-salute you, Salma Hayek) we can now call “Sir”…er…or an approximation of the title. What do you call female knights of the French realm, anyway?

Looks like knighting women these days (long overdue, too) has become all the rage. But to top Shakira‘s honor of being made a Knight of the Order of the Arts and Letters for her contributions to music, she received the Award of Honor from the NRJ Music Awards, as well.

These awards were created by the radio station NRJ and the television network TF1 way back in 2000, and Shakira shared the top spot with Adele, Rihanna and Justin Bieber this year.

So congrats, Shakira! You’re prime testament to the fact that hips really don’t lie…

JENNIFER LOPEZ spilled some details on her divorce from MARC ANTHONY after a lot of prodding from MATT LAUER, host of the “Today Show.” This guy is pretty good at what he does if he got J.Lo to loosen her tongue.

While all Jenny from the block wanted to talk about was her role as a beauty icon, mom and “American Idol” judge, she did touch on some issues about her divorce from Marc Anthony, which is really saying something because it looks like she’s moved on well along the road with backup dancer, Casper Smart…

“Marc and I were friends before we got married. We were friends for years. And we always loved each other, and we always worked together,”

J. Lo said, referring to her and her ex’s collaboration on their Hispanic reality talent show, “Q’Viva! The Chosen.”

“So it wasn’t like an unnatural thing to keep working together.”

But is that all there is to them these days? Work?

“Obviously, we have children together so it’s not like he’s not going to be in my life,”

Lopez added. She also admitted she’s still a hopeless romantic who believes in happy endings.

“I’m not going to sit here and lie to you about it,”

she continued.

“But at the end of the day there is real love there, and there is a family there.”

When Lauer reminded her of her “Vanity Fair” interview where she said she loves herself enough to walk away from the marriage, J. Lo quipped:

“Matt, I’m going to kill you right now. Everything I wanted to say about the divorce I said in that article, and Marc and I agreed we weren’t going to talk about it publicly again because it really is our personal life.”

And that, apparently, was that.

Footie star DAVID BECKHAM will topbill the Super Bowl with an ultra sexy commercial that’s sure to get the ladies swooning.

No more Kim Kardashian arching her prominent behind to sell shoes. All you’ll see is the Becks revealing his new H&M men’s underwear fashion line in his tighty-whities, and not much else. Bet you Victoria Beckham‘s gritting her teeth the whole time knowing the whole world will be ogling her man’s chiseled and tattooed bod come February 5…

We also bet no one’s going to notice that Madonna will be performing at half-time after the L.A. Galaxy midfielder’s commercial is played on the wide screen.

According to a statement David released earlier, he and his design team spent a total of 18 months developing his H&M collection.  Hmmm…it takes that long to design a line of men’s skivvies and underwear? Maybe Beckham personally tested each one. In that case, can we get a pair to sniff?

CYNTHIA NIXON is telling her detractors, in no uncertain terms, that yes, she is bisexual…and no, it isn’t a choice at all.

Wait…what? Has her sexual orientation been forced-foisted on to her newly bald head?

The “Sex and the City” star is currently doing some damage control after her controversial comments about “choice” playing a role in shacking up with a same-sex partner hit the web last week. After all, Nixon, 45, was heterosexual for 15 years when she was married to Danny Mozes, with whom she shares two children…

The actress insisted that being bisexual is not a choice. It is a fact.

Just as it’s a fact she’s been with partner, Christine Marinoni for the last seven years, and rears a child with her.

“What I have ‘chosen’ is to be in a gay relationship,”

She said in response to the backlash from the gay community about her recent comments on her sexuality.

“My recent comments in The New York Times were about me and my personal story of being gay. I believe we all have different ways we came to the gay community and we can’t and shouldn’t be pigeon-holed into one cultural narrative which can be uninclusive and disempowering.”

Cynthia said in a statement released to The Advocate.

“However, to the extent that anyone wishes to interpret my words in a strictly legal context I would like to clarify:”

“While I don’t often use the word, the technically precise term for my orientation is bisexual. I believe bisexuality is not a choice, it is a fact. What I have ‘chosen’ is to be in a gay relationship.

“As I said in the Times and will say again here, I do, however, believe that most members of our community — as well as the majority of heterosexuals — cannot and do not choose the gender of the persons with whom they seek to have intimate relationships because, unlike me, they are only attracted to one sex.

“Our community is not a monolith, thank goodness, any more than America itself is. I look forward to and will continue to work toward the day when America recognizes all of us as full and equal citizens.”

That’s a mouthful. Anyone else want to mince words with Ms. Cynthia Nixon, you’re welcome to try…

This seems like such a striking contrast to their older sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe’s recent topless photo shoot, doesn’t it? While the three Kardashian girls wear nothing but jeans, Kendall and Kylie appear on the cover of Teen Vogue fully clothed in colorful, age-appropriate outfits.

Now despite the fact that they seem to do everything together and appear to be the best of friends, Kendall and Kylie admit that they do tend to “butt heads” every once in a while, like normal siblings.

Kendall tells Teen Vogue:

“We used to fight, like, three times a day. We’d punch each other, kick each other, pull each other’s hair. It was so bad.”

And what do they normally fight about? Well, clothes of course! And other stuff, too. While doing some professional eye rolling that only a teenager could do, Kylie rants:

“She [acts] like [she's] my mom, I swear. This morning, she walks in and goes, ‘Make sure you’re up.’ I’m like, Kendall, I’m up! I get it.”

Kendall adds:

“I’m already a mom to her. She goes out with her friends, and I know what she’s doing. I know she’s gonna go hang out with all her little boyfriends….”

The younger Jenner sister replies:

“Ugh, I would not wanna be your kid.”

EMILY BLUNT wore a striking jade green Oscar de la Renta gown on the red carpet at the 2012 SAG Awards, which was held at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A.

Emily was one of the very few actresses who opted to wear color on the red carpet. The sexy British actress, who attended the SAG Awards with husband John Krasinski, looked great in a refreshingly bright jade green Oscar de la Renta one-shouldered chiffon gown, which she paired with silver Jimmy Choo heels, a blush pink Swarovski clutch, and gold bangles.

Emily completed the look with a simple updo, soft eye makeup, and a bright coral lipstick.

Retro screen siren waves would have looked better with this look, though. Or even some good ol’ fashioned curls…

Just in case you were wondering why Ashlee was even there, she actually attended the event as the date of her boyfriend, Vincent Piazza, who stars in the HBO series “Boardwalk Empire.”

Ashlee walked the red carpet in a black Jenny Packham gown, which featured beadwork and sequins from the neckline to the knee. It also had a bit of sheer black fabric draped around her shoulders.

The singer completed her outfit with a black Swarovski clutch, gold hoop earrings, and Ruthie Davis heels.

Ashlee finished off the look with smokey eyes and rosy nude lipstick.

According to recent star news, George Clooney’s former ladylove, who was last rumored to be dating hunky “True Blood” star Mehcad Brooks, was spotted leaving the Trust Hair Salon in West Hollywood with her rumored new guy, Steve-O.

Yes, you read that right. They were at a hair salon.

Pretty strange place for Steve-O to take his new girl, huh?

TMZ cameras caught Elisabetta and Steve-O (real name Stephen Glover) walking out of a hair salon together over the weekend. But while Elisabetta ignored the camera, her crazy stunt-performing beau talked politely with the TMZ camerawoman, even asking her:

“What do you think of my haircut?”

When asked if they were just friends or if there was something more going on between them, the couple kept mum and simply climbed into their car.

The Grey proved that Liam Neeson is indeed a force to be reckoned with when he tackles the action genre. The man versus wolf tale easily took the top spot at the box office, earning $20 million-ish over its first three days in release. And holding on strong to take second place was the fourth film of the Underworld franchise, Underworld Awakening. Led by Kate Beckinsale, the fourth Underworld has collected the most ($45.1 million) of any franchise entry after 10 days in release, according to BoxOfficeMojo.

Opening slightly above pre-release estimates was One for the Money, based on Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels and starring Katherine Heigl. Lionsgate didn't screen it for critics, although those who paid to see it after its release have awarded it a 3% rating (1 fresh, 31 rotten) at RottenTomatoes. Meanwhile, Summit's thriller Man on a Ledge was basically left standing out in the cold all by itself. Taking in only $8.3 million over its first weekend, Man on a Ledge's action just couldn't compete with Neeson manhandling wolves.

Universal has pulled out of another Hasbro project. After deciding against moving ahead on Ouija, Clue, and Monopoly films, Universal's also officially no longer involved in bringing Stretch Armstrong to the big screen. According to a just-released press statement, Relativity Media is now teaming up with Hasbro to bring the toy line to life as a life-action feature film.

Some strange man showed up at Kimmy‘s Beverly Hills home carrying a whole set of luggage, claiming the porn star reality show starlet had him flown to Los Angeles to hire him for her reality show…which one of those shows, he never said. He also insisted the carte blanche invite extended to Kim offering her home for him to stay in until he found a place to stay in Tinseltown…

Kim freaked out, naturally.

She had one of her security people call the police when the man refused to leave her gate, where he remained insisting he had the right to be there by virtue of Kim Kardashian‘s authority.

As of press time, we’re still gathering details on whether the guy was booked for trespassing, or if Kim realized (ooops, her bad) that she did ask him to come over, after all…kind of like the time she hoodwinked persuaded Kris Humphries to marry her in an 18 million wedding ceremony.

JON CRYER gave his two-cents’ worth about “Two And A Half Men” co-star ASHTON KUTCHER, saying it’s a little less suspenseful being on the set…compared to CHARLIE SHEEN, that is. So is that a…uh… good thing?

The 46-year-old former teen actor, who’s been playing Alan Harper on the CBS hit comedy for the last eight years, sounded off on the difference between working with cuckoo Charlie, and the younger, suaver, more debonaire, Ashton Kutcher. So was he playing safe with his answer or did he purposely take a dig at good ol’ Tiger Blood?

“He’s great. He’s a clown. He is up for anything, willing to do anything. Great, great spirit.”

Cryer told E! Entertainment in an exclusive interview at the SAG Awards about his new bearded co-star .

“It’s a little less suspenseful being on the set now a days,”

the funnyman revealed.

“When you come into work, you are pretty sure he [Ashton]‘s going to be there. And nobody’s pushed his car off a cliff or anything like that.”

Cryer quipped, referring to Charlie‘s penchant for losing cars faster than he loses wives.

Oh, wait. Ashton just lost one. Wife, that is. Does that make a difference?

Screen Actors Guild Awardee for Best Supporting Actress, “The Help” star, OCTAVIA SPENCER declared women would be much happier if they ate.

Which makes her quite a far cry from Kate Moss, for whom “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” But then again, this curvy actress just won a SAG award and a Golden Globe for her role as a sassy, sharp-tongued southern housemaid who’d added a “special organic ingredient” to her employer’s chocolate pie, so who are we to tell her any different?

“It’s our society,”

the 41-year-old “Ugly Betty” actress ragged to E! Entertainment.

“It’s a society that tells you you’re no longer valuable at a certain age…or because of your weight.”

Spencer may have forgotten Gabby Sidibe, Oscar-nominee for her role in “Precious,” or Jennifer Hudson, who, at her heaviest, grabbed the naked golden guy for “Dreamgirls.”

But then again, it might have just been her excitement at winning at the SAG’s so soon after her Golden Globes triumph.

“Women would be much happier if they ate. I know I sure get a headache when I don’ t eat!”

And because we know we’re not Kate Moss (though not for lack of trying), we agree with her completely.
