In a sneak preview of the much-awaited “The Carrie Diaries” season pilot, AnnaSophia takes on Manhattan as the younger version of the fabulous New York writer, Carrie Bradshaw—the character famously played by veteran actress Sarah Jessica Parker in “Sex and The City.”

As promised, the series is set in 1984 and shows a younger Carrie before all the men, the glamorous clothes, the Cosmos her three best female friends.

CANNES, France (Reuters) - In a bumper year for U.S. productions in Cannes, director John Hillcoat, presenting prohibition-era drama "Lawless" at the film festival on Saturday, said the state of smaller-budget American movies was "distressing".

As it turns out, DONNA SUMMER didn’t get lung cancer (which led to her death) from smoking.

In fact, she was a non-smoker!

Donna, who had been deemed the “Queen of Disco,” died last Thursday in Florida from her longtime battle with lung cancer—which celebrity news initially thought was because of her smoking.

So it may have been something else, because it is pretty hard to believe that she was right about getting it from the toxic air in New York as a result of the September 11 bombing…

A family member revealed Us Weekly:

“Ms. Summer was a non-smoker.”

The source added:

“Obviously, numerous factors can be attributed to the cause of cancer in general, but any details regarding the diagnosis and subsequent treatment of Ms. Summer‘s case remain between her family and team of doctors.”

There you have it. Donna wasn’t a smoker after all. Of course, that still doesn’t mean that smoking does not cause lung cancer, so no, this article does not free you or anyone from the guilt coming from puffing on those cancer sticks! Dream on.
